Chris DeWaal

Vice President - Director of MEP Engineering

What I do at Trilon Group

I was brought into CPH to grow the MEP group from a support team for other departments into a revenue generator that can take on projects across the entire Trilon family and in markets (industrial, food processing, higher education, others) that CPH has traditionally not entered.  We are going to do this by adding the right people: those who have technical ability, have an entrepreneurial spirit, are fun-to-be-around team players, and who want to learn about the business of consulting engineering.  We are also going to add services that CPH has traditionally not offered as we grow.  We have already started down the path with the addition of people in two states (NC and WI) where CPH did not have a presence before, and with work in a number of new markets.

Who am I?

  • BSEE, Michigan Technological University
  • MSEE and MEM, Kansas State University
  • Licensed PE in 37 States / Territories
I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the best engineers in the business for clients all over the United States, Canada and Europe since I entered the consulting engineering business in the late 1980's.  My favorite projects include a wide variety from the largest ice cream plant in the world in Tennessee, to a marina in the middle of the Arizona desert, to hydroelectric plants on the shores of Lake Superior, to some of the largest paper mills in the world, among others.
