Amanda Woods

Director of Transportation

What I do at Trilon Group

I currently serve as the Director of DRMP’s Transportation Market Sector. My responsibilities include oversight, contract administration, project coordination, budgeting, business development, marketing and developing strong teams for Roadway, Drainage, Structures, Traffic, and Planning and Environmental Services.

Who am I?

I started at DRMP right out of school from UCF. My background is in structural engineering in all phases of design of highway-related structures for conventional and design-build projects. I have been involved in the preparation of preliminary and final design calculations and plans production on many single and multiple bridge projects involving new, rehabilitation, bridge widening, and bridge replacements. My structural design assignments have included Florida I-beams, AASHTO girder bridges, cast-in-place flat slab bridges, steel plate girders, and Florida double tee bridges. I also have experience in toll plaza structures, box culverts, mast arms, strain poles, sheet pile walls, retaining walls, cantilever sign structures, overhead sign structures, and bridge mounted sign design, as well as, load ratings, shop drawing review, and proposal preparation.

I also serve as a Senior Project Manager specializing in the design and project management for major FDOT transportation projects. My project experience includes working closely with FDOT Districts and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. Projects include limited access roadway alignments with interchanges, implementing express lanes within limited access facilities, widening and resurfacing of interstates and arterials, and bridge replacements. Project work includes the design of roadways, bridges, drainage, traffic operations, lighting, ITS, right-of-way mapping, environmental permitting, and public involvement.
